Mini food chopper - does anyone use one?

I have a big food processor but sometimes it's a faff to get out and am thinking of something small that I can have to hand as we use so much chopped onion.

The other thing with a food processor is that the onion can get a bit wet, mushy, iyswim, and that interferes with the frying off process.

Recommendations for a mini processor that's quick and does a good job would be very welcome.

This thread is quite old now, so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for the latest advice, we’ve recently refreshed our best food processor guide with the top options recommended by Mumsnetters, including compact models. We hope this helps.

@LoveFall
I know what you mean about the blade being low enough; that's the problem with using my big food processor for small quantities. Which mini chopper do you use?

Although tempted by the Kenwood I think I'm swayed by Von Shef and Russell Hobbs because of glass bowl and it seems they can deal with onions without making them mushy.

Just realised I have an Amazon gift card for £26 so may splash out on one of these 😂
