Vegetarian cook books

Do you have a favourite vegetarian recipe book?

My son has asked for one for his 12th birthday so I'm looking for something that would be accessible to him. He is becoming quite proficient in the kitchen but would rather get something where the recipes aren't too complicated or where we'd need to get specialist ingredients or equipment for most of the recipes.
Any recommendations?

I really like the green roasting tin.

The river cottage veg book is great, great recipes, no (or not many) obscure ingredients.

@Baboutheocelot

I really like the green roasting tin.
Thanks, will look it up!

Just had a thought about magazine subscriptions, he loves the Waitrose Food mag.

Are there any good vegetarian ones that would be suitable for children? Without including any extreme views or animal rights agendas.

another vote for the green roasting tin -several of the recipes in there are now my 'go to' for quick weeknight meals. nothing too wanky and all in one tin so less washing up!

BOSH is a great cookbook, it's vegan but I've never had a bad recipe and you can easily sub cheese or eggs etc into the recipes if you want to.
The recipes are generally really easy. The only odd ingredient you sometimes need is nutritional yeast but that's cheap and most supermarkets sell it.

Vegetarian Nosh For Students would be good.

Second for the Green Roasting Tin (super easy for kids - chop and toss in the oven, maybe mix a dressing), and the Bosh books too.

Another suggestion: The Hungry Student Vegetarian Cookbook
