Potentially stupid question regarding sausage rolls

Hi all

My kids just had sausage rolls for lunch that I bought today (pre cooked eat hot or cold).

I warmed them up in the oven but they weren’t piping hot (I thought they were).

Can they get food poisoning? As they were not piping hot, just warmed.

It’s unlikely if they have only been warmed the once and eaten straight away.

Yes eaten straight away but they were not piping hot. I know not to do that again. Fingers crossed they will be okay.

You're unlikely to get much multiplying of bacteria in the short time it takes to heat from 20 to 50 degrees.

If they can be eaten hot or cold, it will make no difference if they were just warm. They are already cooked. You do not need to Cook them again. Especially if it is the first time you have done that to the rolls.

If you had warmed them, then left them - the second time I would think they should be piping hot.

No they wouldn’t have got ill if they ate them cold. I guess I was just worried about potential bacteria multiplying (as they were Luke warm)..... I didn’t even think to be honest until after they had ate them. It was a short time and they were eaten straight away so fingers crossed they will be okay. Would hate to think they could have got food poisoning.

I only warmed them up once and then served. I just panicked as the packaging said make sure piping hot and they were just luke warm.
