I’m looking to get a new hand mixer, just a cheap one (under £25) as I don’t do much cooking. I would use it for cake making and whisking cream, nothing too advanced!
What’s important to me is that it has a gentle setting - I want a mixer that starts off slowly that I can increase in speed - mine is so fast the contents of the bowl go everywhere even in the lowest setting. My current hand mixer has speeds from 1 to 5, and 1 (the lowest) is so fast I’ve never got to a higher number, let alone used the turbo button!
My current hand mixer has a very short cable which means I have to rearrange the kitchen to get close enough to the plug socket to use it, so ideally I’d like a mixer with a reasonable length cable.
Any recommendations gratefully received.
