Hope some of you lovely ladies would be so kind as to share your best banana bread recipes with me. I’m looking for a loaf type bake as opposed to a cake. Thanks 😊

I always use Mary Berry's and it's always great!

This is one I use. It's says cake but I always do it in a loaf tin and comes out really well.

I know you said not cake but...
2.2.4.6.8
2 bananas
2 eggs
4 butter
6 sugar
8 sr flour.
Bang it all together, 160c for 1 to 1.5 hours.
Turns out well every time!

Yep! The only recipe I know by heart in imperial I cream the 4oz butter with the 6oz sugar (brown is my favourite) Add 2 eggs and 2 mashed bananas, then 8oz SR flour.

I bake at 170-180 degrees for 45 minutes uncovered, 10-15 minutes with a loose sheet of foil.

At the flour stage you can add walnuts, sultanas, chocolate chips, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries... anything you like.

Same mix also makes 10-12 muffins if baked for 25 minutes.

Oh, and it freezes well.

Yes it's so easy isn't it?

Mary Berry’s recipe... I found it on Pinterest!
Perfect every time - and I’m really not much of a baker!
