Recipe boxes for one

Does anybody know if there are any good food subscription service which do a recipe box for one?

Elderly FIL is now alone but fairly able bodied, interested on food and cooks for himself. He would like to learn more recipe and I wondered if we could get him a subscription to one of these to get, say, a new meal idea every week as a birthday present. Haven't seen any that do a one person box though

I would love this too! I did hello fresh for a week as they had a good offer on but way too much waste as it was meant for 2 people. Unfortunately they don’t do single person boxes.
I’m 35 so don’t qualify for any meal schemes aimed at retired people (if there are any that allow you to cook from scratch that is!)

I hope someone is able to suggest one!!

If he's cooking a meal he may as well get two dinners out of it... can he choose options for two that would be good reheated or frozen?

(I'm aware that might sound a bit miserable, but many of my favourite stew/ curry/ tagine type meals are better the day after).

I think Mindful Chef might have a 1 person option
