I have definitely been snacking way more than I needed to over the last 2 weeks and I'm really struggling to get out of the habit now. So I figured that instead of going off snacking completely, I will try and replace all the bad, unhealthy snacks with healthy, nutritious ones. Please share all your ideas with me!! I absolutely love things like banana or apple sandwiches made with peanut butter. It satisfies my sweet cravings, I get one of my 5 a day in and it's quick, easy and pretty much mess free without any ridiculous prep. But I am struggling to find more ideas and also snacks to satisfy my savoury cravings 😳

So I've turned to Mumsnet to ask you what your favourite healthy snack is? Sweet, savoury, day-time, night-time....anything pleaseGrin

I like rice cakes/corn cakes with peanut butter or humous, or on an oatcake.

These - used to make them when ds was weaning. Hes almost 5 now and still mix up a batch regularly but now add cayenne and paprika!

I've just had a 'banana split':

Banana
Strawberries
Raspberries
0% fat Greek yoghurt
Low sugar raspberry jam

So tasty, filling & tastes quite indulgent.

These sound yummy. At least I get a nice variation of snacks. Added all ingredients to my shopping for this week 🤣

I am such a fridge/snack cupboard raider, need to have healthy stuff on hand otherwise I will soon be the size of a house.

Rice cakes smothered in PB is a good one (though unlikely to be healthy with the amount of PB that I add)

Anyone got any vegetable snack suggestions other than carrot/cucumber/celery/pepper sticks? These are ok in the summer but I don’t always fancy them in winter (plus a bit dull too)

Almonds, Brazil nuts and walnuts. Just don't eat more than a few though!

Apples sliced with peanut butter to dip;
Trail mix;
Ice cream - freeze bananas and whizz in food processor with some honey;
Boiled egg;
Veg soup;
Rice cakes and nut butter or humous;
Big drink of water or squash (you might not be hungry)
