Any ideas? It;s a halloween party if anyopne has any festove ideas
So far am thinking:
retro pineapple and cheese hedgehog
honeyed sausages on sticks
Chicken drumsticks (Nigella style from her ridiculous picnic)
feta and spinach filo parcels
salads??
bread sticks, veg sticks, dips etc
ginger biscuits shaped like pumpkins and iced with chocolate
chocolate cake
dunno, run out of ideas, this is my job for tonight, have to get it sorted and order all the food. Aaahhhhh.

It's DS's first birthday party on saturday and we are having

quiche lorraine
tomato tart
some other sort of quiche depending on what I can be bothered to make
salad
new potatoes
fresh made that morning pork pie from the butcher
ham sandwiches
herby roast chicken sandwiches
cheese and tomato sandwiches
egg and cress sandwiches
Mini muffins - blueberry if supermarket has blueberries, chocolate if not
Sausages on stickes and pineapple and cheese on sticks (DP's request)
Trifle with forest fruits
citrus cheesecake
Birthday cake

I was going to do the nigella drumsticks but I think there is plenty for 20 adults two 1 year olds and a few 6-9s.

What about making some toffee or gingerbread bats. I like the sound of the feta and spinach parcels. you could make cheese straws but curl them up like snails.

Thanks very much, mjim, that's great, had completely forgotten about sandwiches, and sausage rolls and fruit are fab too.
Wow bwb, that sounds great, quiche brilliant. Love the idea of cheese straws like snails, and the bat biscuits!

Thank you have lots of ideas now. Cheers.
