Cooking GU pots in oven

fayej777 · 01/01/2021 18:45

I bought some GU pots to have for dessert last night but upon reading the instructions discovered they are supposed to be microwaved, and I don't have a microwave.

It does explicitly say do not oven cook but I am often sceptical of such advice.

Does anyone oven cook GU pots and if so how long/what temp etc? Or should I try some sort of steaming method? Thanks!

Which pudding is it? And are they in glass pots or the plastic ones?

Steaming sounds good.
I suspect the caramel sauce doesnt fair too well in the oven - although perhaps you could try them in a dish of hot water in the oven (bain marie).
Enjoy!

Their glass ramekins are (usually) oven safe, but they have different instructions for each pudding recipe

Don’t quote me on it for yours ending up edible from the oven, but google GU cooking instructions and some recipes are around 10-12 minutes on 170-200 degrees c

Thanks all! I put them in using the oven instructions above and they are great. Smile
