Seeking party ideas for NYE - fried squid essential!

It will just be me, DH, DS15 and DD13 but I want to prepare a festive party-ish dinner. I’ve already decided fried squid is non-negotiable (and they all like it so I’m sure I will need to double the recipe) but would love to hear some ideas of what to serve alongside the squid.

Homemade aioli

DH does a mean chorizo and tomato salad, that would go well with fried squid

Shoulda said aioli was already a given! The salad sounds intriguing - will definitely consider.

Fried squid with alioli
Tiny meatballs in almond sauce (or tomato chili sauce)
Scotch Quail eggs with a dipping sauce
Toasted sliced baguette topped with Serrano ham and a quail egg
Devilled eggs
Garlic Mushrooms
Strips of crumbed white fish fillets served with the squid and alioli
Puff pastry ham and cheese empanada cut into squares
Ham or chicken croquettes
Chorizo in cider
Voul a Vent cases with hot or cold fillings
Garlic prawns ( or Prawns in Tempura)
Steamed mussels with few drops lemon juice
Quiche or individual tartlets (bacon and mushroom)
Patatas Bravas
Pate with toast
Smoked salmon served with red onion, chopped boiled egg, capers and rye bread
Jar of artichoke hearts topped with anchovies and black olives, finely chopped garlic and parsley and vinaigrette dressing
Jar of good white asparagus , bottom half covered with mayonnaise mixed with tuna, chopped boiled egg and capers on top of the mayo
Good sausage rolls
Green fresh asparagus grilled could be wrapped in ham
Roasted beetroot and prawns salad with dressing
Mixed lettuce salad, goat's cheese, caramelised or toasted walnuts, apple or pear .Vinaigrette with mustard and honey dressing
Mixed lettuce salad with avocado, prawns and dressing
Squares of fresh cheese topped with quince jelly
Vegetable strips in tempura (asparagus, strips of red and green peppers, onion, courguette in rounds or sliced lengthwise)

Between your list and the salad and a Chat thread I’m thinking a Spanish tapas-y vibe would be called for, and will give that due consideration.
