Jamie's 'best ever' sprouts... but are they?

It's mine and DPs first Christmas cooking (we also have a DS3 and DS1) as we are usually with either of our parents ob Christmas day.

We've made many roasts in our time and we have, in our opinion, perfected most other aspects of the roast dinner. However sprouts have never been on the menu. We got a bag full in our veg box so we want to use them. The Jamie Oliver best sprouts recipe seems promising and rather simple, is it as good as it seems?

JO nails some recipes but others have been not so great so I'm not sure where to peg this..

Seems quite a faff for 2+2.
I like them halved/quartered, fried gently in butter, add cream, s&p, & a tad of nutmeg, + water if necessary. A little garlic is good as well.

Too late @Georgyporky! I made them. But allrwoxte your comment all the same.

They were actually pretty tasty and had enough time whilst all the veggies were roasting to get them done at the same time as the gravy. Not convinced the Worcestershire sauce added much but hey ho. Cream and nutmeg sounds yummy too!

Here's mine.
We had chicken as a last minute change of plans meat. Roasted potatoes, parsnips and carrots, sage and sausage meat stuffing, sprouts a la JO and gravy obvs. Missing Yorkshires and pigs in blankets I guess but not too bad with 2 little ones in tow.
