Yes absolutely! I think we're all reverting to these methods today.

Car boot or shed/garage would be colder.

Overseasmom100 · 24/12/2020 18:15

Do you have an insulated picnic box, OP? If so, pop the veg in there with an ice pack and leave it in the hall.

We have had crispy cakes cooling in the hall next to the front door, which says a lot about the state of my front door I suppose.

Needs must and all that.

Yes, that’s fine.

00100001 · 24/12/2020 18:19

Yep.its veg. It will be fine, it's not cooled I'm the supermarket

DragonMamma · 24/12/2020 18:20

Mines in the garage but I’d stick it anywhere I could that wasn’t warm. That includes cauliflower cheese!

I got my husband to put our veggies on the balcony as no room in fridge. Its only 2 degrees outside so colder than fridge lol
As long as its below 8c (the highest recommended temp for a fridge) it will be fine. Alternatively pop in the garden/garage etc x

I think fondly of the times we have had to put goose / turkey in the boot of tha car as fridge not big enough. Briefly - I had a large fridge freezer - now I do not. Nature's larder - I have vegetables all wrapped up in my tiny patio - next year I shall buy a cool box. Grin

Happy Christmas @Overseasmom100 - it will be fine Flowers
