I Always do prawn cocktail but very dull

Anything that doesn’t need the oven or cooker so it’s normally one of the following

Smoked salmon, brown bread and cucumber
Melon and Parma ham
Seafood platter
Pate with toast

No starter here, it's only ever me, DH and our three DC's for Christmas Dinner and its hard enough to get them to leave their presents and sit for long enough to eat one meal 😂 we have a big breakfast around 9.30-10am then lunch at around 2.30-3pm and dessert.

It’s canapés here, but we’re I to do a starter it would be really light, something a long the lines of a pear or fig, blue cheese and walnut salad with a drizzle of honey.
