I am looking for simple gluten free recipe's for children to serve in a cafe. What recipe's do your children love?

Well, aside from the obvious of substituting gluten free flour for wheat, you could do:

Rice dishes such as risotto (simple flavours like peas and mushrooms), rice pudding, rice salad, rice balls filled with stiff made hummus and deep fried, fried rice with peas and other chinese veg/flavours

Potato dishes like potato cakes, pan haggerty, bubble and squeak, jackets filled with yummy fillings, mash, potato topped pies like cottage ect, roasties.

Quinoa for the more adventurous! In salads and with pasta sauces

Roast veg stuffed with rice or quinoa

Bean and lentil dishes such as dips (blend with garlic, oil and salt), hummous, baked beans homemade with added veg and fresh toms and some spices, dahl, lentil soup with rice cakes

Cakes made with GF flour

Salads of fruit or veg

And these are all vegan too...

Shepherds/Cottage pie-Bovril stock cubes are wheat free. Can also do wheat free chilli/spag bol and offer wheat free pasta. Lamb hotpots, soups can use cornflour.Wheat free pittas are also excellent and means the child can join in with others having sandwiches. I agree with the risotto suggestions. Most dishes except pastry ones can easily be done gluten free with some tweaking.
