Elasticbandstand · 22/10/2007 14:55

4 o flour
4 oz porridge - a la delia

Elasticbandstand · 22/10/2007 14:56

and 3 oz butter
3-4 oz sugar (brown)

Thank you. Just mix plain flour and porridge oats and stick on top? Going with blackberries, pears and apples with a bit of cinnamon. DS2 won't eat bananas without cinnamon on and doesn't eat fruit as well as his siblings, but will eat a crumble or pie.

Oh heck. What do I do with the butter?

(Only made a million crumbles....)

It is okay. Followed a topping recipe from one of my many books and it is in the oven, smelling delish.

Well, that was a hit! Didn't have any porridge so for the topping used plain and wholemeal flours and butter, then bulked out with rice crispies and bran flakes. DS2 just having his second helping. (Yay, fruit in the boy!!)

I will send you mine. Please put it in the oven with a crumble, and coat with custard. That'll put a stop to its infernal buzzing.
