I really fancy a Thai (I'm 13 weeks pregnant) I think it's a craving! I never had Thai before, gonna try and make my own next week. Any suggestions for mains and sides? I'm not keen on anything above a tikka masala heat! Many thanks

There is a really good Thai curry paste called Thai Taste . I really like the red one with beef . I know Sainsbury's stock it . Made with Chillies .

Larb gai is my absolue favourite Thai dish! Serve with thai crackers and salad or cold noodles. The toasted rice adds a delicious nutty crunch. Try yum nua for a beef version.

Khanom pang na moo (pork toast) is a nice side/snack/starter. Like chinese prawn toast but tastier.

Phad ka prow is my favourite stir fry dish, you can adjust the chilli to suit your taste! I love the combination of the green beans and peppers. Be sure to use proper thai/holy basil rather than regular basil! Serve with jasmine rice.

Phad kee mao - stir fried rice noodles, baby corn, spring onions with garlic and shaoxing wine. Quick and delicious!

I will say don't omit the fish sauce!! It stinks when you open the bottle but it is a main component of Thai cooking, it adds a beautiful sour tang that you won't be able to achieve otherwise.

I recently found a great Thai curry paste brand called Mae Jum. All-natural ingredients and the paste were quick and easy to use. Tasted amazing!

I found them online www.maejum.com
