Usually I do a Roast on a Sunday but ended up not buying the things and not cooking a meal we should have had in the week so tonight we're having A Pinch of Nom's Cornish Pasty Pie.

For lunch we are having pasta with smoked salmon, rocket, olive oil, lemon and black pepper. It's a dairy free recipe I picked up from Pinterest and I love it.

What's everyone else having?

Ive fallen back in love with my slow cooker (oven died and now repaired but Ive got the bug)

I made campfire stew using the pinch of nom recipe and id the vegan recipe. Thats for tomorrow supper though

Tonight we had the pinch of nom chicken Hibachi and yum yum sauce - it was delicious, I had to swap out the mushrooms and courgettes for kale and peas and sweetcorn as dd doesn't do either of the former. Id certainly recommend it and its very easy to make. We had this with white rice but would be good with noddles. I didn't put sugar int he yum yum sauce and swapped the hot sauce for sweet chilli

DH came home with a sausage sandwich from the garage at lunchtime, so had that, and for dinner it was yesterday's leftover Boston baked beans, with pork chops and spicy cheesy wedges. I'll make a point of eating some green things tomorrow.

Lunch was leftover pizza for all.

Dinner is slow cooked bbq beef brisket with roast root veg and dauphinois potato. Washed down with a large Malbec. Then warm mince pie and Baileys cream for pudding.

Easiest meal of the week, no thinking or planning involved, no searching recipe books

Today it's beef; out of the oven in a mo to rest before carving and eating at 20.00

@MirandaMarple they were banging according to my teen DS.

We are another household that doesn't do a roast in December. I tell the family that like it makes Christmas dinner a bit more special but it's also a touch of laziness on my part 😬
