what's the deal on re-freezing frozen meat?

I bought 3 braised steaks for the LO - made a meal with one and ate it fresh. Now I have realised I need to make up little meals with the rest of the meat that is in the freezer at the mo? Am I not able to do this now I have frozen them once?

If you cook it first, it'll be fine.

You can refreeze meat once you have cooked it.
