Dumb question: to peel or not to peel...

I have a bag of new potatoes in the fridge, they are super small. And I have some leeks that are REALLY ready to go.
Plan is to make potatoes and leeks soup tomorrow. Would you peel all those teeny tiny potatoes? Or can I just keep them skin on? I have a Nutribullet and thinking if perhaps the cooked skin will get liquified and become invisible anyway?

Yep skin on
You’re good to go

Leave skins on but strain the soup through a sieve if you want it smooth. Tiny bits of skin taste ok, but it is a bit more rustic.

Fab, thanks!

Don't peel, they'll be fine.

However, DO NOT keep potatoes in the fridge!

@APurpleSquirrel

That is so funny. When I read the post peeling or not peeling the potatoes was not a worry to me. But keeping them in THE FRIDGE! I feel exactly the same way you do. It affects the level of starch and this increases acrylamide when fried/roasted.
As the op is putting them in a soup it should be ok.

I would peel them for soup tbh - leek and potato needs to be all smooth and velvety. In fact I'd go and get some bigger potatoes of a fluffier variety.

I like my soup chunky, I never peel potatoes for soup.

Leave the skin on but I wouldn't blend them, I find they go horribly gluey.
Just chop them into smallish chunks.
You need a floury potato for blending.
