Quick help: cream cheese in curry?

I have put all the ingredients for a curry in my slow cooker...but realized I don't have any yogurt or double cream to add later! Can I use some Philadelphia cream cheese or will it spoil the flavour?
It's a chicken tikka masala and I have done it with a paste pot...

I do, it's not ideal, but it's better than nothing.

Or my DS1 doesn't like any amount of spice so adds creme fraiche if you have that instead?

Depends on how you like it! But, yes, should be fine. I'd add less than the cream/yogurt though and stir well.

Thank you!
No, I don't have creme fraiche either. It's rare I don't have at least some yogurt, but can't do much now as the curry is almost ready. Hopefully the flavour of it will cover the cream cheese (and it's not like we have a fine palate when it comes to curries... hopefully it will be ok!)

think of it as squishy paneer :D

Got a tin of coconut milk in the cupboard? I'd opt for that over cream cheese.

I wish I had some coconut milk! :(

I did it! We could not taste the cream cheese at all. A success:)
Thank you all for the advice!

I think it would be fine
