Stupid question - gravy in slow cooker

I'm a fairly novice cook so please be kind if this is obvious 😬

Put a leg of lamb in the slow cooker this morning, I'm just about to take the meat out and wrap in foil. All the juices are obviously in the bottom - can I just add a jug of water to the slow cooker and thicken with the granules to just make the gravy in there?

If it’s still hot enough to melt the granules than it’s fine. Mmmm yummy

There will be a lot of fat in there , personally I’d leave it to cool and remove the layer of fat that will
form or spoon from surface of the dish. Then put the juices in a pan or jug to make the gravy as you need any liquid to all be boiling hot

Just realised after reading your reply. Good point with lamb. Good advice
