Any Knife Detectives Here?

Sadly my much beloved everyday knife is coming to the end of its life.
I would like to buy an identical knife, but can't seem to find it.
I bought this knife in 1992 or around that time, cost maybe £40. It is a Sabatier, the blade is as bright as ever ( I regularly sharpen) but the handle is falling apart due to being stuck in the dishwasher too many times ( by my mother) and some tragic repair attempts by my OH.
The length of the blade is 24 cm.

Try looking in John Lewis. We have very similar ones from there (two... On 10year old, the other around two years old)

Have you looked on the Sabatier website to find as exact a match as possible?

Or if you really love the knife, you could get it rehandled.

I would contact Sebatier and see if they could replace the handle. They are riveted on so the rivets could be drilled out and the handle replaced. Ds1 did some cheffing work last summer and bought some 'Dick' knives, a German make I believe and cause for much hilarity in the kitchen. But he thinks they are great.
