I’m a recipe hoarder and am feeling the need to add to my collection, but without the risk of adding duds, so in my hour of need could I have your most favourite trued and tested recipe? Any recipe genre is fine and vegan right through to Neanderthal levels of meat appreciation are fine.

My go to banana bread (delicious with and without nuts) and a more seasonal (and less Covid exhausted) ginger loaf :)

This is a go-to for this time of year with grocers full of squash:
www.ambitiouskitchen.com/healing-thai-butternut-squash-lentil-soup/

I don't make it as a soup, I serve it thick as a casserole on a bed of rice. Describe it to dinner guests (pre-lockdown!) as a pumpkin satay curry, but it's very mild, little kids have enjoyed...

Top tip is to mince the ginger very throughly so no ginger chunks - I chop and then squeeze with a garlic press and then mince the bits left in the press and chuck them in :)

Enjoy!

I thought you were asking for recipes using spam !

I'd get RSI writing a list.

I've got c.80 cookery books, & a large collection of on-line cookery sites, but my favourite is eatyourbooks.com

There's a free version, but the subscription service is worth its weight in lobster.

@chillichoclove - those both look good, particularly the first. I love preserved lemons - they are amazing flavour enhancers.

Thanks for those everyone - I’m adding every single one.

Here’s a couple of my favourites:

www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/pasta-recipes/seven-veg-tomato-sauce/

I love this sauce because if freezes really well in portions and it brilliant for a night where you have almost no time. I cook off some mushrooms and tiny broccoli florets to toss in and add a tablespoon of marscapone

And this one, because it’s so quick and simple, and really delicious with king prawns thrown in

And the butternut chilli from cookie+kate cookieandkate.com/butternut-squash-chipotle-chili-with-avocado/
