We ate out last Wednesday just before lockdown. Had the most am-az-ing treacle tart. It wasn't thin and super sweet as I normally expect. It was deep (maybe 2 inches) sweet, but not off the scale sweetness and if memory serves it kind of didn't have pastry either. But then that now just sounds daft. But there definitely wasn't a thick pastry layer.
I've had a google and can't find anything. I've emailed the pub, but obvs they are closed now.
Please can you share your best maybe most posh treacle tart recipe?!
