A good oil for cake baking?

I'm not a fan of the taste of oil in baking but find that it's best for a moist chocolate cake.

Which is a good one to use, maybe with a neutral taste?

Groundnut oil is the one I use in cakes. Tasteless.

I generally use the same (not at all fancy) EV olive oil I use for everything else. Combined with wholemeal flour it makes the most luscious, moist, rich cakes. It takes a little trial and error to adapt measurements from butter; somewhere between half to two thirds is usually okay, and less is better. I find butter in cakes a bit weird now.

rice bran oil is great when you dont want any flavour coming though, good for you too

No it isn't, sorry. It really isnt. I can't bear the taste of rapeseed oil.

I have used corn oil in baking and it has a horrible, harsh taste. My go to oil for baking is light olive oil.

Quick stop at the shops yesterday and found some rapeseed oil. Will give it a go Cake

Chocolate cake was nice and moist and could not taste the rapeseed oil (used a good quality cold compressed one).
