First note - I can’t cook. At all. However I need to learn and so here seems a good start!
Years ago I bought a lamb stew packet seasoning mix, and in it was a roasting bag and I remember putting lamb cubes, carrots and parsnips in with the seasoning mix and it just came out a perfect stew. They seem to have stopped doing them now but I have found roasting bags. So if I chuck diced lamb and veggies in there, what is the “seasoning mix” I would be missing? Is it cornflour and a stick cube? I see loads of recipes for stews which involve browning off meat first, which I really want to avoid. I just want to chuck it all in the oven and the magic happen! Any ideas gratefully received!
