I dunno how to do a pot roast.

How do you do a pot roast and do i need to start it now if eating for dinner with children tonight?

Have cabbage, parsnips, carrots, onion, potatoes and some grapes from our vine that need using somehow and half a bottle of red wine.

What do I do please?

fry carrot and onion in pan, add pork, some herbs and wine, bring to boil and cook in low oven for 3 horus or so. make parsnip and potato mash and eat with cabbage. you could put grapes in towards the end in the interest of completeness but not sure it would add much.

poncier could substitute parsnip / potato for celeriac.

Thanks for that. Is far simpler than I had imagined!

Why's everyone going on about dumplings tonight???

How do you make apple dumplings newlife?

newknifenewslain · 14/10/2007 20:03

Are they? How subliminal of me then!

We just made regular dumplings but added grated cox's apples. Usually we make horseradish ones to go with beef, of course.
