Looking for a melon baller or something a bit larger - for scooping truffle mix into nice balls before rolling in nuts - any ideas?

I've got this yummy healthy chocolate recipe - melting coconut butter, peanut butter, cocoa, a tiny bit of maple syrup and maldon salt - which sets in the fridge before you "ball" it ... currently ridiculously messy as chocolate melts all over my hands....

Any ideas where I can get a "baller"... ie something like an ice cream scoop or melon baller but truffle sized!

Thanks!

It sounds delicious but you’re kidding yourself if you think they’re healthy ...sorry to be blunt
You could try making them into quenelles using a pair of spoons or maybe something like this www.amazon.co.uk/Cookie-Drop-Mini-Cream-Scoop/dp/B002U73A8K?tag=mumsnetforu03-21

That vogue one is 3cm and 4 cm. is that big enough?

I bought a melon baller in Sainsbury's

Oblomov sounds great! Going to give it a try....

And when I say healthy I don't mean scoff masses of them but - like 85% chocolate - one or two occasionally are actually healthy because all the ingredients are.... in the same way that a handful of nuts are healthy, but knocking them back with lots of salt isn't ...

I've got an arancini mould that I bought via Amazon, that would do the trick.

Coconut butter is high in saturated fat, maple syrup is no better for you than white table sugar and is classed as an added sugar BUT like anything (including lettuce, kale etc) in moderation and as part of a balanced diet they’re absolutely fine - as would be a Mars Bar

Blondie hi....

I think this is where we lack evidence.

If you search coconut oil on the internet, many believe - and have evidence -that it is a healthy fat in the same way that olive oil is....

Maple syrup... minimal in this recipe... but like honey, although the sugar element of it is as bad for you as sugar, there are a lot of other components which may have health benefits... my understanding is that research here is VERy minimal (no funding) but that there are lots of unidentified natural substances in both which COULD be beneficial
