Cake decorating ideas

I'm baking a Victoria sponge birthday cake. I have kitkats, malteasers, a chocolate orange, meringue nests & orange matchmakers to decorate. I'm looking for imaginative ideas please

And ferrero roche chocolates

I’d probably just use matchmakers in place of chocolate fingers in this one.

Frost it with buttercream. Italian meringue if you can be bothered but an easy buttercream will work and just decorate away.

That's lovely, but I'd love to use all the toppings I have

Reading your post @ricochetricochet there was a wide range of chocolate. My cake was just something to give you a starting point. For kids the more chocolate the better.

I'm sure I've seen some of your decorating "aids" used on a hedgehog cake.

A guy in his 60's, but I'm making it with a young child which is why I bought so many toppings, now thinking way too many

How about using the Kit Kat’s to make the walls of a shed, the match sticks for the roof and then the other chocs as rocks/flowers etc? If you have icing your could make a little sign that says Xs Man Shed or something?
