And what kind of beef or steak do you tend to use?

I fancy a change from the chicken or prawn I usually do. Ideally something with an easy to make sauce, rather than something that needs a million ingredients from a specialist shop.

Tia.

This is one of our favourites: www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/crispy-chilli-beef

I usually add a pepper as well as the spring onion and cook with egg fried rice rather than noodles but no reason you can't put the noodles in with it too (I also don't faff about with actually making the beef 'crispy' I just fry it in five spice)

Shamelessly following for ideas. I love beef stir fry but never tried cooking it myself.

I cook stir fried beef with broccoli - it's a recipe from the Wagamama cook book and it's one of my all time favourite things. You marinade the beef with chilli, mirin, lime, soy sauce and cook it with shallots, noodles and broccoli and it's indescribably good!

We have this quite often as it's my favourite. I think it's from an Annabel Karmel book but I only have a photo on my kindle (hence the bad pic!). If you want it written out just let me know Smile I use a 300g fillet tail which is perfect for me, DH and DD, and don't bother with the courgette but use one of those packs of baby corn and mangetout from Tesco. DH usually makes it and possibly doubles up on the sauce ingredients as he puts a packet of straight-to-wok noodles in for the last few minutes.

I do Teriyaki beef noodles.

I use v thinly sliced rump steam. Stir fry & put to one side. Stir fry broccoli, baby corn, spring onions, mange tout, garlic, chilli & ginger. Put beef back add some teriyaki sauce (not too much), juice of lime, light soy sauce & fish sauce.

Really easy - poor boiling water over noodles as start cooking and they’re ready by the time stir frying finished. Drain noodles & stir through sesame oil and some toasted sesame seeds.

Usually serve with chopped coriander and some of the crunchy onion bits which come in big bags in Asian supermarkets

What’s the best beef to use for a stir fry? I’m sure I bought a packet of the stir fry strips once years ago and wasn’t impressed at all.

Is there anything nicer?
