Sausages

I bought some sausages to make sausage rolls but haven't had time.
Just checked them in the fridge and one packet says use by 13th the other 17th.

Would they be safe still to make sausage rolls. I hate waste Hmm

they contain preservatives to keep them safe, but don't use any later than one day after the use-by date. Watch out for hardened or dried-up meat and always be on the look-out for any discolouration. Take more care than with other meat – smell is not always a reliable test with sausages.

Not the 13th ones but the other ones are fine to be cooked today.
