Interesting lunch ideas for a 14 month old!

Hi there,

Really struggling with packed lunches for my little girl. She’s 14 months old with a dairy and soy allergy but also is incredibly fussy. She’s going through a phase of throwing food (incredibly frustrating!) and generally makes a fuss at each meal time.

Does anyone have any ‘swear by’ lunch recipes that I could send with her? Really keen to get her to eat more and enjoy more of her meals!

Mine got bored easily , so I changed how I served it up. Cut up cheese into small cubes , or grate and put in small piles. Carrot in long curly strips ( peel the length )
Just get creative with what you do !

Macaroni Cheese is definitely a success 90% of the time here.
Cheesy risotto is almost always a success as well.
Sweetcorn fritters with some dip

Have you tried her with any little pizza?

My 14mo loves them. You get a tortilla wrap and use a glass to cut round shapes, tomato purée, chopped mushroom or any veg you like, oregano and topped with violife cheese and a bit of olive oil and pop under the grill until the cheese melts (or as much as dairy free cheese does melt!)

Is this for nursery? She might not eat all that much there especially if she is fussy as she is very young. I think @Fivemoreminutes1 's suggestion is great - put a few things in and see what she goes for. Make sure there's one 'favourite' thing every day.

And my son was happiest at that age with cold pasta without any sauce on it and a few bits of ham and cucumber.
