I fancy spaghetti something, bolognese. I've had Spaghetti with pesto and prawns before, that was awesome. What is your best Spaghetti based recipe?

Feta, prawn, peas, onion and tomatoes. Yum! Can't tell you how to make it - DH is the chef.

Spaghetti, garlic, butter and parmesan or extra mature cheddar melted in. Lots of black pepper. Vegan version use nutritional yeast and vegan spread.

Salmon carbonara realfood.tesco.com/recipes/salmon-carbonara.html

Drysnitchinsbitchin · 07/10/2020 04:37

Fresh baby tomatoes, basil and crushed garlic quickly heated in olive oil, stirred and poured on top.

IDontMindMarmite · 07/10/2020 08:11

Sorry meant to say NOT bolognese. Hate it when a typo error makes you say the opposite of what you intended. @Blondie1984 those sound amazing do you have a recipe or do you just wing it?

Carbonara is a great favourite in this house.

FamilyOfAliens · 07/10/2020 08:28

Spaghetti with fresh chilli, garlic, flat leaf parsley and olive oil.

We had it last night and it was lovely.

purplemunkey · 07/10/2020 08:30

Crab, chilli, garlic and cherry tomatoes with olive oil and a squeeze of lemon. Mmmm.

Or prawns with a shallot, ginger, chilli, parsley & tomato sauce. Usually have it with linguine but spaghetti would work.

Toomanycats99 · 07/10/2020 08:30

Smoked Salmon, cream, lemon juice And a little bit of onion

Or pancetta and mushrooms.

Mominatrix · 07/10/2020 08:34

Carbonara is my DCS's favourite spaghetti recipe. I am evil and always add some veg - grated courgette cooked gently with the pancetta is a popular option.

Mine is probably only liked by me, and that is uni spaghetti www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2019/09/sea-urchin-uni-pasta-recipe.html. I don't have it often here is the UK because the price of excellent sea urchin is prohibitive, but it is definitely on my Last Meal menu.

I see that you like marmite - it makes a great bast for a sauce for spaghetti. Toss your hot spaghetti with marmite, some of the cooking water, and parmesan. Simple and delicious.

SisyphusAndTheRockOfUntidiness · 07/10/2020 08:35

Very simple. Sundried tomatoes chopped up & soaked in half a mug of boiling water while the spaghetti is cooking, then drained. Chopped fresh basil. Freshly ground black pepper. A drizzle of olive oil.
I used to eat this a lot at university. These days I add parmesan on top too.

Oh goodness show did I forget marmite spaghetti. Ultimate comfort food.

Spaghetti pizza pie. Make or buy a tomato sauce. I add onions peppers carrots courgettes whatever you want and dried marjoram. Cook spaghetti, mix with sauce add half to an ovenproof dish top with lots of grated cheese and pepperoni, repeat and bake until cheese has melted.

MirandaMarple · 07/10/2020 18:20

Slow roasted tomatoes, some sundried from a jar too, capers, anchovies, lemon zest served with toasted pie nuts and fresh parsley. Maybe some chilli flakes too.
