I want to buy a pumpkin pie to have at Halloween as no time to bake one this year! Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice shop bought one?

I've never seen it for sale anywhere, I'd love to buy it.

Or just buy the filling in a can maybe?

That's just pumpkin though, you still have to make the pie which just isn't practical for me since I live alone.

The only place I've ever seen them ready-made in the UK is in Whole Foods in London, and even then only around Thanksgiving. Maybe Costco but I've never been there around this time of year.

However! They're easy as pie (ha ha) to bake in advance and then freeze. You could bake it tomorrow and then defrost in the fridge the night of the 30th - it will be ready the next day for Hallowe'en!

And for @IHaveBrilloHair, you can bake the pumpkin pie, cut it into slices once cold, and wrap and freeze the slices individually!

Yes, I know, and I'm aware I sound awkward but it's a pita when I would much rather just buy a slice like with cheesecake.

Well considering no one in this country seems to sell it ready made except for Whole Foods I think you'll need to go on a popularity campaign to make people love pumpkin pie more.

Or make friends with Americans! After Thanksgiving we are usually drowning in pumpkin pie and desperate to palm it off in slices happy to share the love in single slice form or possibly as a whole pie, please, no PLEASE take it ALL
