Grass fed/organic meat online

I'm trying to further cut down on our meat consumption with an eye to welfare and health. I've had a look at various online options and am probably going to order with field and flower or fosse meadows. Has anyone used either and have any feedback or coupon codes to share?

I haven't ordered with those, but I have had meat from Farmison which was excellent. And the price has definitely helped cut our meat consumption!! I'm thinking about getting the "Eat Better Meat" subscription now, though I need to chip away at the freezer to free up some space first.

I've used Field & Flower & would recommend. No voucher though I'm afraid

Thanks, I'll take a look at farmison!

We've used Field and Flower for a few years and highly recommend. No code though I'm afraid.

I’ve not tried the companies mentioned but we use Dorset Meat Box Company, they deliver nationwide. The meat is beautiful

We've used Field and Flower for several years and are very happy with them.

What about your local butcher?

TallGiraffe20 · 09/10/2020 14:52

We use Tend in London to get our meat and fresh food. They've just launched during COVID and have been great. I can choose exactly which farm my meat comes from and can understand how it's been grown. It is a bit more expensive but I think it's worth it for the taste but also knowing where it comes from and the benefit it has.

I have a Field and Flower voucher if anyone wants - field-flower.mention-me.com/m/ol/qd3dc-9c4c6bef38

No I don't work for them- previous posting history will prove - but it is the first meat box I have genuinely been impressed with value wise and quality wise (normally it's one or t'other!)

Even DH commented on how flavoursome it all was and he is an Aldi stalwart!

Pegase · 08/12/2020 14:21

Might try Tend as well though as I am in London if you have a voucher @TallGiraffe20

TallGiraffe20 · 08/12/2020 14:59

Hey @Pegase

I have been sharing the below voucher code for 15% off with friends who use it at checkout.

Someone highly recommended Piper Farm to me. Tbh, I wasn't all that impressed. However, they definitely talk the talk re environmentalism. Also, we maybe ordered the wrong thing.

Pegase · 08/12/2020 19:57

Thanks @TallGiraffe20 - am convinced meat boxes are the way forward but good to try a more local one

TallGiraffe20 · 08/12/2020 20:01

Yes they're great. I think it's so important to eat high quality meat, but less frequently, from an environmental, health and welfare perspective.
