Chillies for children?

I've often seen posts that leave out chillies from food to make it "child friendly".
In cultures that use chillies a lot - e.g. Mexico, parts of Asia - at what age are they introduced to the diet?
No particular reason for asking - just curious.

As soon as they were properly on solids - I think aged around one. They would have stuff like tandoori chicken, biryani, daal and rice. We wouldn't give them super hot stuff but they ate normal family meals.

While weaning we'd let them have a taste of things, maybe take the chicken out of a curry and break it up for them.

I reduced the salt content in food but wasn't worried about spices.

My kids have food with chillies in it. Use some natural yogurt at the side to cool it down. Both have been having sliced food from 6 months .

My baby had chillies in food from 6m and we’re white british. Only mild curries and things but gradually increasing spice
