Cake - hot chocolate instead of coco 🙄

I’ve just popped it on the oven and picked up the coco to put it away and seen that it is hot chocolate (I really need to wear the right glasses when I’m cooking).

Will it be really really sweet? It had a tonne of sugar in it as it was. It’s not for me - so will be edible it just too sweet?

I imagine it will just be sweeter and not as rich and chocolatey. I'd certainly still eat it though :)

I just made butter icing with cornflour instead of icing sugar. I bet yours will be more edible than mine

It'll be ok just not very chocolatey. I've done it before and the cake was fine.

It’s now out and on the table - it took ages to cook too. DH keeps sniffing it, saying ‘mmmmmmmm cake’ and eyeballing it (it’s not for him!). I am standing guard!
