Anyone fancy sharing their favourite dal? I have come to the conclusion that I would like to eat it every single day.

I made this one with mung beans a few days ago (exactly as the recipe but added a large handful of red lentils ten minutes before the end) and really enjoyed it...

This aubergine dal is a favourite here too...

How well does that dhal with cabbage freeze, Pomegranatemolasses?

Or do you never have enough leftovers to find out?Grin

(I'm a bulk cooker, so it's a must.)

Dhal makhani is the food of the gods. I could eat it every day. I have an old handwritten recipe but it's similar to the one that plasticpotatp linked to above. Divine!

This one from the New York Times has a touch of lemon and is truly delicious cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1016062-red-lentil-soup-with-lemon

I was going to suggest the Dishoom black dahl - but two other poster have beaten me to it! It’s fantastic.

Very different but much quicker, I also really like the one from the Green Roasting Tin served with cashews. Can’t find the recipe online though.

Just bumping this thread again as I’m about to make my daal!

I saw a video recipe on here once but can’t remember the chef. An Asian woman. I made it and it was brilliant! Very simple...

Can someone help, please?
