What to do with a box of apples

Any ideas for using up a box of apples and some rhubarb gifted by a neighbour? She said they're eaters but are a bit sour so best for cooking. I wondered about a jam/chutney or something 🤔. I'll have to try a pie too, or maybe a cake. What would you make?

Anyway, I picked MORE apples and checked back to look for ideas. I have pears too, and quince. The quince will become jelly but need more apple and pear ideas.

What do you DO with apple butter, lake -just use it like jam?

I use it like jam but also in muffin recipes and as a glaze for chicken and pork.
