Can anyone recommend me a soup maker? So many seem to have bad reviews. Are they worth it?

I've got a morphy Richards one and love it. It has a sauté function and can make smooth or chunky soup in less than 30mins. I use it frequently over the winter. Check out Scottishmummy blog for some great recipes. Really helped me get to grips with the amount of veg and stock needed.

I also have a morphy richards and love it. I've tried lots of these recipes if you're after some inspiration to get you started.

I had the M.R. sear & stew, & it stopped working after a month.
I then got a super-duper Lakeland one, but the base broke within a year.
Both refunded by Amazon, I'm back to using a saucepan!

I got the Morphy Richards one and it broke on first use! Hmm Any other recommendations? I really want one!

I have a Cuisinart and it's THE flakiest appliance I've ever owned.

The first one broke in two days, John Lewis replaced it and it just never worked properly.

I must say though, that when it does work as it's meant, it's a wonderful gadget.
