Apple and blackberry crumble

How do I make it nice? Kids have picked and I’ve said I will make it, but I don’t actually like it much.
Any suggestions?

Cinnamon in with the apple. Add something else to the topping like nuts. Plenty of custard.

And a good ratio of fruit to topping otherwise it's too dry.

Add sugar to apples and blackberries if they’re slightly sharp. Add oats to the crumble. Some good recipes on bbcgoodfood.

Thanks. It turned out quite well. Discovery eating apples and I think perhaps I used fewer blackberries so it wasn’t as strong. Now I just need to use up the rest.
