I'm thinking a head for when school starts.

Does anyone have any idea's for healthy snacks. The High School my children are going to are not providing any mid morning snacks / hot food only grab bags for lunch.

So as it stands my DC will be having breakfast at 7am and lunch is not until 1.15 pm, they have a mid morning break around 11am where we can provide a snack. Other then fruit has anyone got any idea's for other snacks.

So I can tryout recipes before they go back.

A sandwich wouldn't be a bad idea. One sandwich can be a snack and see a child through till' lunch.

Cheese or tuna will have enough protein to help them not feel hungry.

Other than that, a banana and a yogurt or if allowed, unsalted mixed nuts and a few slices of cheese or ham and a couple of crackers.

Thanks, I was thinking that, but was thinking if they have a sandwich for lunch whether that would be to much bread.
