Custard tarts

Love mini custard tarts and after devouring some the other day thought I would try and make some today. I bought some short crust pastry (was a last minute decision whilst at the shop) but recipe says I need sweet. Can I sweeten the ready made stuff?

It doesn't matter too much - just makes them slightly less sweet overall but difference isnt noticable.
Good luck! Egg custard is delicious and I have a total baking block with making it - never turns out right.

I've never tried making it either. Just have a real hankering for them. Bought some from Tesco the other day. So delicious!

I've never used sweet pastry, ordinary is fine.
Tip-make sure there are no holes in the pastry or the custard leaks through and you have pastry on the top with custard underneath.
Put your pastry case or cases on the baking tray and pour in the custard when you're at the oven, don't try carrying the filled cases across the kitchen.
Good luck!
