8 months, what do they have for tea to get them through the night?

I don't think it's the last meal that sees them through - its the cumulation of the whole day.
personally - I try and cluster feed from about 4.30 onwards and give a dream feed at 10.30 - sometimes it works and ds sleeps till 7.30am or sometimes not (this am it was 6am)

Regular meal at 5ish (tonight half a jar plus an ice cube of carrot usually our meal whizzed) followed by yogurt. Breastfeed at 7.

My ds2 is 9mths now and for the last month or so he's had a either a bowl of home-made food or a jar of something savoury, followed by either fruit(about half a jars worth) or plain yoghurt with fruit mixed in. He has this around 5-6pm, then final bf around 7pm and goes down for the whole night waking at 6ish for his big morning feed. It's been the same in the past for ds1 and dd.

thanks folks, how much volume of food would you give, in terms of ice cubes?, and what type of savoury food, ie veg, or something carb, or protein?
