Was DS's christening yesterday and not surprisingly everyone went for the pavlova over the fruit salad.

There's no way we can eat t all before it goes off, but it would be such a waste to chuck it.

has anyone got any ideas as to what I can do witht it?

Will it freeze? And then what do i do with it?

smoothie

Puree and mix with icecream? Make smoothies? Freeze it for trifle or something at christmas?

chopchopbusybusy · 01/10/2007 10:54

Definitely smoothies. You could freeze the smoothie in ice lolly moulds (or just yogurt pots or similar if you dont have moulds)

Drain, add a crumble topping, bake. Or part-bake and freeze.

OOh, didn't think of pureeing it, thanks.

Will it not just turn to mush if I freeze it whole and then defrost it?

Yes, fruit doesn't freeze well.

Blend it first.
My kids love ice lollies made of pureed fruit.

Have a bath in it

Take it to a rubbish play and throw it at the actors.

Take it outside and throw it up in the air so that it rains down and dance around shouting 'I'm rich!' especially as the neighbors walk by.

Use it to plug leaks.

Hide it all around the house so that when you find some you can have a nibble.

LOL shrooms, my Ds has already showered me in it!
