Delia Smith adds chopped chicken livers to mince etc in her bolognese sauce. Just googled it for you but it won't let me copy the link. Just search on Delia Smith Bolognese.

Risotto - yummy!

Chicken livers, bacon, onion, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms and a mixture of risotto rice and wild rice.

One of my favourite dinners

why are you trying to empty freezer and store cupboards?

can't you make a nice Yiddish recipe? Isn't that kind of thing choc full of liver?

I made a pasta sauce with them once

It was very pink

Personally, I'd give 'em to the cat.

Twiglett · 01/10/2007 11:09

oo thanks Castille .. perfick!

yiddish recipes .. you got any?

I am trying to empty larder and freezer because my style of food shopping is like rationing is about to come into play and they are groaning with food and we are trying to budget so I feel I should probably try to eat them

now I just need to work out what to do with the red bean mini rice balls from Wing Yip supermarket .. they taste like the shite and the only child who liked them (who was from Vietnam) has moved away now

I shall not knowingly throw food away

season thenfry them for a few minutes in butter and a little garlic. Take off the heat and add a little balsamic vinegar on serve on salad leaves. Should still be pink in the middle

It's Harvest Festival soon - give it away!

No probs! Hope you like it. My kids don't, despite it's deliciousness. Maybe yours have more discerning tastes
