What to feed colleagues for lunch

I have a few work colleagues due for a working lunch. We will be working in my open plan kitchen/dining room. I'm feel quite anxious as to what I could feed them. I don't want to be stood cooking whilst they all look on, so we would really appreciate ideas of something I could make ahead and then serve to the table.

Ideas great fully received!

Lasagne

Bung it in the oven and forget about it until it's time to eat.

Are they expecting a cooked lunch? Would bread, cheeseboard and salad with maybe soup not be sufficient?

Quiche prepared ahead of time - just need to put in oven serve with cold new potatoes and salad. Meringue and fresh fruits and cream for pudding.

Something that can be made ahead of time and is nice at room temperature, with salad.

Quiche
Veg puff pastry tart
Frittata
Strata
Marinated roast chicken thighs (eg chicken marbella)

Fruit for dessert.

If you make something too rich or heavy they will all fall asleep and you won't get any work done! Wink

Love these ideas! Quiche/tart and a few salads sounds great.

I'm ridiculously worried about it and not sure why! All lovely people but all live on much nicer areas than I do!

Can you buy from a local deli and expense it?!

I had some friends over for lunch the other day. It was all stuff that could be served cold. Some things were laid out on the table before they arrived, whilst for other bits, I just had to get them out of the fridge. I did:
Mini pitta bread
Bread sticks
Houmous
Couscous salad
Cucumber and tomato salad
Olives
Minty Philadelphia dip
Cubes of feta cheese
Grilled chicken skewers
King prawns

For pud, it was just strawberries and cream.
