Roasting times sweet v standard potatoes

Advice please.
DH only just tolerates sweet potato, my roasting tin Rukmini Iyer dish recipe says sweet potato but I want to do half sweet and half normal in 2cm cubes for a 5 spice pork and potato dish.
Do my standard spuds need to go in first and cook for longer than my sweet potato cubes?
Thanks!

Either par boil the white ones and put in together, or the white need to roast a good deal longer! At least 20 mins more.

I'd say only a 10 min difference but I like sweet potato to be really crispy and blackening but am happy with normal spuds being more golden.

Sweet potatoes are like mush within 20-30mins. Best to roast them seperately in my opinion.

you can get the same effect / taste by roasting / mashing white potatoes in gor or sugar. It was grans best cheat back when sweet potatoes were tricky to find!

Thank you.
I briefly par-boiled the peeled white spuds and cooked in same dish.
Sweet potatoes were perfect and the white spuds were mush.
Luckily DH always eats up and compliments my food!
