So my 11mnth old has recently stated refusing his evening meal. He'll either scream and cry or just throw it around trying to escape his high chair! Im doing the approach of not forcing him to eat it, but im then worried he'll be hungry.

Once i take him out he's fine, happy as larry , I'm just wondering if this is a phase or im doing something wrong- please help

Does he sit in his high chair for other meals? If not maybe try breaking the cycle by doing a few meals out of the high chair, either in the garden or picnic on the floor. Then when you put him back in do it with lots of distraction, bubbles, music, games etc.
What time are you giving him dinner, could he be over tired? Maybe try main meal at lunch?

Yeah, he'll sometimes have lunch on floor but I'll try the bubbles and things! He has his nap around 1-2ish then he normally eats around 5.30/6pm - maybe I'll try earlier then like 5ish :)
Thank you

Lots of kids go through the phase where they just refuse. Do know he will eat if he is hungry, he won’t starve. But it is a worry. Consistency is key and it’s trying to avoid introducing anything that takes away from meal time.

It maybe worth changing the times he eats as he maybe hungry earlier but then over tired.

I got lots of tips and recipes from Natasha Corrett on Instagram I’ve DMd her before and been very helpful x
