Favourite brownie recipe - dense and gooey

I usually use Delia's recipe which is lovely, but I had THE most amazing brownies from a cake sale just before lockdown - seemed chocolatier, gooier and denser. Unfortunately the person serving didn't know who had made them so I couldn't ask for the recipe. I know 'gooieness' is partly to do with not overbaking and taking out before fully set but this was more than that I feel. If this fits the description of your tried and tested recipes please let me know, with a link if at all possible. Thanks

I make the Cadbury’s ones but use half milk and half dark chocolate instead of all dark. They are delicious. I find that I don’t cook them for quite as long as the recipe says either.

Hummingbird recipe is my favourite and I've made a lot over the years. Just keep going back to that one time and time again. I might bake some this weekend now !

Another vote for Nigel Slater's Very Good Brownies. I've never got past this - it's so good. He means what he says about checking every 3 minutes after 25.

So many more recipes to try, thank you. (I've since made the brownies I needed when I first posted, went with Nigella's recipe and it was ace but will try out others over time)
